Rev. Jon D. Lowry, Senior Pastor
The Rev. Jon D. Lowry received his B. A. degree from Southern Methodist University in 1967 and his Master of Theology from Perkins School of Theology, S. M. U. in 1970.
He married Anna Taylor of Beaumont, Texas and they have two sons and four grandchildren.
Rev. Lowry was ordained as a deacon in 1969 and an elder in 1971. He has served churches in McAllen, Brady, San Angelo and New Braunfels and four churches in San Antonio. At Laurel Heights, in addition to fulfilling usual pastoral functions, Rev. Lowry sings with the choir and serves on the Stephen Ministry Leadership Team. He was the Superintendent of the Kerrville District from 1993 to 2000.
His outside interests include basketball, gardening, astronomy, listening to classical music, and goat ranching.
He considers his call to be to make a difference for God in the life God has given him.

| Rev. Raquel Cajiri |

Rev. Raquel Cajiri, Associate Pastor
In April 2008, the Rev. Raquel Cajiri was appointed to serve as a local pastor at Laurel Heights UMC. She graduated with an MDiv from the Perkins School of Theology in 2007, after completing her internship at Arlington Heights UMC in Fort Worth. She holds a B.A. in English literature from Harvard College and taught high school English in the Rio Grande Valley before going to seminary. Originally from Bolivia in South America, Raquel came to the U.S. at the age of ten and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Raquel’s favorite courses in seminary included a seminar on Paul, a seminar in Ireland on C.S. Lewis and St. Patrick, and an immersion course in Bethlehem. She enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures and languages Raquel is excited about the many opportunities for growth and ministry at Laurel Heights. | Rev. Norman Roe |

Rev. Norman Roe, Associate Pastor
The Rev. Norman D. Roe retired from full-time ministry recently and is pleased to be helping at Laurel Heights on a part-time basis.
Norman grew up in South Texas in several communities as his father served United Methodist congregations in that area. He graduated from high school in Kingsville, college in Georgetown, and seminary in Dallas. Norman also attended Union Theological Seminary in New York on a Masland Fellowship in the early 1970’s.
His wife, Margie McCreless Roe, continues to teach freshman English at San Antonio College on a part-time basis. The Roes have two sons, both living in Austin with their families.
